This does not mean that the music is bad, per se. The mix sounds good, the band members have chops, and unlike most young deathcore bands that I have heard throughout my time, each song is clearly distinguishable. These Brits earned the attention they caught from Century Media; one track has current Suicide Silence vocalist Eddie Hermida as a guest, and it works.
My bias shouldn't prevent potential new fans from checking this release out. The doom part of the band's influence is present in the tempo and lyrics. From "Plague Worship" to "I'm so Tired of Sighing. Please Lord, Let It Be Night", I appreciate the songwriting's deviation from the usual "I hate religion and women because I cheated on my girlfriend at church and now she dumped me" shtick.
