Raise your fists (and swords) to the rousing track "Metal Is King" by shredders EXMORTUS, which provides the soundtrack to the group's latest music video. Taken from their Prosthetic debut "Slave To The Sword," which LA Weekly calls "a blistering blend of European-influenced, neo-classical thrash metal," the song features a prominent message echoed by drummer Mario Moreno: "Let it be known that METAL IS KING!"
Moreno reveals that the new video was shot in a small warehouse in the band's hometown of Whittier, Calif. -- "a straightforward video for a straightforward song," he says. Watch it now on Metal Injection or stream it below!

"Slave To The Sword" has been heavily heralded by some of the metal industry's most notable buzzmakers, including heavy rotation on Sirius XM's "Liquid Metal" show with Jose Mangin and extensive coverage on influential blogs including (MetalSucks, No Clean Singing, etc). Throughout the year, the band has thoroughly showcased their "impressive blend of thundering melo-death and acrobatic power metal” (Revolver) by taking no mercy on the highways of North America, continuously appearing with acts inluding Flotsam & Jetsam, Destruction, Dark Tranquillity, Krisiun, Hatchet & more. In addition to a heavy touring schedule, the band also made time to appear in a nationally-aired commercial for Virgin Mobile and perform a shred-tastic rendition of the national anthem at a minor league baseball game!
