Dash is here, back with you via Broken Neck Radio, constantly bringing you metal, and nothing but metal…oh yeah, here it is.

This is an exciting one kids!  It’s…HATRIOT!

Steve "Zetro" Souza has once again stepped up to the metal plate to slay our asses. This veteran metal screamer, from the bands Exodus, Legacy (Testament), Dublin Death Patrol, Tenet, AC/DZ, proceeds to show us all how it’s done and how real metal sounds.  Back to the roots of Bay-Area Thrash…Steve has even made this one a family affair.  Hatriot’s bassist and drummer are his sons.  Now that’s damn awesome.  This is Harriot’s 2nd offering.  Now, to the music…

“My Cold Dead Hands” opens up with audio from a very famous NRA speech by Charlton Heston.  A really great start to this album.  Such a clear metal beat, and a really amazing message.  Steve’s vocals have held up all these years and he’s sounding better than ever.  Good riffs and fast drums.

“Your Worst Enemy” is a brutal track about bashing brains in, love it.  It’s lightning fast, clean and talks about pissing on a grave.  That’s metal!  But seriously, killer song.

“The Fear Within” starts out with slow and hypnotic guitars, and then builds at a moderate pace.  Love the crunching guitar and machine gun drums on this one.  It then explodes with Steve’s raspy vocals.  Amazingly layered track.

“SUPERKILLAFRAGSADISTICACTSARESOATROCIOUS” (clever, huh?) is another winner with its pure metal balance and awesome guitar by Kosta “V”.

“World Funeral” is a succinct metal anthem, done in a definite 80’s style thrash.  This song hearkens back to the days of emerging thrash, but with a modern message.

“Dawn of the New Centurion”, opens with Steve’s famous scream and rhythmic guitars.  The change-ups in this one are brilliant.  Solid metal scorcher.

“Consolation for the Insane” is another winner, fast, brutal and heavy.

“Dawn of the New Centurion” was right up my metal alley. The album did surprise me a bit with its political messages—SO on point with our troubled and turbulent times today.  I really applaud Hatriot for delivering those messages.   I love it when metal legends are still around to rip our heads off.  Steve Souza is one of the premier voices in thrash and he sounds amazing.  Backed by the kick-ass band, DOTNC had me banging my head for sure.  Can’t wait to see them live!

Run out and get this one on April 1st!

As always, thanks for checking out the reviews \m/
