They signed with UK-based Siege Of Amida Records in 2008, then with Century Media in 2015. Their third full-length, the critically-lauded The Architect Of Extinction, was released in January of 2015. The band will level stages throughout the US this Summer as part of this year's Summer Slaughter Tour featuring Cannibal Corpse, Nile and Suffocation among so many others. Fundamentally inspired by the late '90s early '00s American brutal death metal scene, INGESTED later incorporated elements of the rising deathcore scene into their already vicious sound. Following their debut album, Surpassing The Boundaries Of Human Suffering (2009), INGESTED earned critical and cult success. Kerrang Magazine gave the album a 4/5 score stating, "They're likely to scare some of the death metal big boys out of their path on the way to the top." Terrorizer Magazine concurred with an 8.5/10 rating and nominated them for Best Newcomer in their 2009 year-end wrap-up. Subsequent to this release, INGESTED played major UK festivals including Damnation Deathfest supporting Vader and Repulsion on the mainstage, as well as Hellfire Festival, and Ghost Fest which included Whitechapel, Sylosis, and Despised Icon. In January of 2010, INGESTED embarked on their first European tour with The Black Dahlia Murder, 3 Inches Of Blood, The Faceless, and Carnifex.
The band's sophomore album, The Surreption, arrived just one year later. The band adopted a more melodic and mature approach, recruiting guest vocal talents of Alex Erian from Canadian band Despised Icon. A month prior to its release, INGESTED toured with fellow UK outfits Annotations Of An Autopsy and Martyr Defiled across the UK and Europe. 2012 saw the outfit play another headlining UK tour and their fourth Ghost Fest with The Black Dahlia Murder, Emmure, and Comeback Kid on the main stage. They also played the European travelling tour, Extremefest, featuring Exodus, Suffocation, and Origin, after which they wrote their self-released EP Revered By No One, Feared By All.
A fully DYI release, The EP was mainly funded through various one-off shows in early 2013. INGESTED also took responsibility for the graphic design, printing, publishing and distribution of the EP selling 500 hand-numbered copies in under two months from its release with no distribution (Siege Of Amida later acquired the digital distribution rights). Revered By No One, Feared By All reaped critical acclaim from publications and fans alike. Terrorizer Magazine gave it an 8/10, Rocksound Magazine and 8/10 and Metal Hammer a 7/10.
Devoting most of their time to writing their third album, The Architect Of Extinction, and seeing them move from Siege Of Amida to Century Media Records in 2014, the album was released in January of 2015 again with critical and fan acclaim. UK newspaper, The Daily Sport, featured INGESTED as their Artist Of The Week, Rocksound awarded the album a 7/10 rating while Denmark's Metalized Magazine gave it an 8/10 rating naming it an Editor's Choice pick for that month.
Later that year, INGESTED set out on their first headlining tour of Europe which included an appearance at the Impericon Fest with bands such as Whitechapel, Suicide Silence, and The Ghost Inside. Sold out shows supporting Thy Art Is Murder followed and by September they embarked on their first US trek on the well-received Devastation On The Nation Tour with death metal giants, Krisiun and Origin, alongside Aeon, Soreption, and Alterbeast.
INGESTED will release their as-yet-untitled fourth full-length later this year via Unique Leader Records with details to be revealed in the coming months.
