Before this they were “S1 ft” from 1998 till 2005
The first was a Demo in 2006 followed by an EP entitled “Mudface“ in 2008, and then their first full length offering “Anti-“.
Now here the March 18, 2016 offering, “Bane of My Existence”, is the best original Metal release I have heard in years.
Members: Rich Pia (Guitars), Chris Dinsmore (Vocals), Brett Crane (Keyboards), Hugo Calderon (Bass),
and Peter Bostaph (Drums) have truly come up with a sound like not others.
There are ten tracks on this release:
1) Fed to the Lions (03:43),
2) HellFoot (04:22),
3) Due unto others (04:54),
4) Hollow (04:49),
5) I’m into you (05:11),
6) The Tree from Which Men Hang (04:42),
8) Down Below (04:45),
9) Anthem (04:47),
10) The Watchers (05:45)
Each track is harder hitting than the next without leaping from its hard rock / Metal form to something less distinguishable The vocal and the riffs are not like any others, which is refreshing for an industry that has had many
years of repetitive similarities in chords, lyrics and beats.
The music is clean, clear and like a garden salad its fresh and crisp without losing the Metal basis.
It’s very hard to describe except to say in no way will you be disappointed.
I listen to a lot of new bands and I can always say: “sound a little like” or “sounds a lot like” but I guarantee you will find yourself struggling to use those words.
I give them a 9/10 Broken Blood Vessels and not 10/10 because I want them to have some room to top this offering.
Bane of My Existence can be found as an Independent on Amazon, Google or iTunes Also on Reverb Nation
