Once again it is time for me to get on the Death Horse and ride into the review scene! Today we have a band out of Oregon, it is Omnihility. This Brutal Death Metal Band has been around since 2009 and this is their second full Length album. I do have to apologise because this came out on Tuesday the 22nd and unfortunately I did get tied up however enough about that shit, let’s get on with the review!
From the get go this album is hard heavy and FAST! With progressive changes from the first song “Molecular Resurrection”. There is a couple of areas where it slows down a bit only to be shown off by the vocal range that John has after growling the lyrics he breaks out into a banshee scream that gives off the change of pace for the song! Coming in a just over seven minutes you wonder how they can keep up the pace, but this seems to be about what they are used to as they keep going hard and heavy.
This carries on for two other songs before they change up the pace and give an instrumental “Ancient Ruins Forlorn I” which seems to give a break for the hard and heavy metal that is melting your face off!
Then carries on for another 4 songs before hitting the final song “Ancient Ruins Forlorn II” this album comes in at 43 mins long and 9 songs.
If you are a Brutal Death Metal fan this one has what you need, the growly lyrics with the screams, the fast transitions into different riffs, and the feeling of wanting to brutally thrash about with the music as it reaches into your soul grabs you and brings you into a new level of metal! For what they are going for this is a solid 8 out of 10! I really recommend checking out this album.
For now I’m PK saying ROCK ON and we will see you next time!
