Review of 3IOB Doc "Warriors of the Great White North" by Zang
Warriors Of The Great White North follows the members of the critically acclaimed heavy metal band 3 Inches Of Blood as they tour across their native soil of Canada.
After doing Radio for just over 2 years now, ive come to learn things. I been given a brief glance at the political side of the music industry. Something that the listener / show attendee / Fan in me never got to see beforehand. My Team and I have interviewed some of the biggest bands in Metal.
After im done my 20 - 30 min interview backstage with a band, ive always wondered what happens after we shake hands and both go our separate ways.
When i first saw the trailer for their new Tour Doc Warriors of the Great White North I was instantly excited and couldnt wait for its release.
Ive had the pleasure before of hanging out backstage with the members of Three Inches of Blood, chatted with Shane and had a very informative interview with Cam Pipes and learnt how down to earth these guys really are.
Last week i got an email from the 3IOB camp asking if i wanted to review the film. I was instantly excited and accepted without any doubt.
This Doc is very well written and nicely filmed. It allows you to follow the band From Coast to Coast and every stop in between
This story itself focuses on the band and their fans displaying what excels them while on the road.
You get drawn into the life on the road, the backstage antics, and of course the Parties.
The journey they take you on allows you to see their home country of Canada from a completely different sid of things.
To take you the fan on a three month tour, and cram it into 50 mins truly shows you why they are True Warriors of the Great White North.
