My first impression upon listening to this album was that the band must also enjoy genuine hardcore music, because the music has some influence thereof. The light touch of hardcore in this technical death metal piece is somewhat reminiscent of Dying Fetus or Suffocation, yet the songs contain less hardcore influence and few breakdowns. The vocals also bring hardcore-influenced metal to my mind (which is not to say that they aren't amazing); the shout-guttural vocals live up to the band's name, for sure.
The songs are of good length (3-5 minute range), short and long enough to keep me as a listener engaged. Unlike some other death metal albums, each song is distinguishable from each other. The song titles and lyrics also live up to the band's name.
