West of Hell – ‘Blood Of The Infidel’
Release Date April 1 2019
It’s been seven long years since Vancouver’s West Of Hell released their last album ‘Spiral Empire’. On April 1 they unleash the beast with ‘Blood Of The Infidel’ and it’s been well worth the wait! Seven brutally beautiful tracks of metal mayhem that demand to be played loud and proud, (with reckless regard to your neighbors opinion). Unlike their debut album which is fast heavy and to the point, Blood of the infidel expands on that signature West Of Hell shred and delves into more diverse arrangements within each song. Changing tempos, modes and moods make each track meld with an underlying core of fist pumping tone that only these guys can create. Chris “The heathen” Valagao’s vocals on this album are off the charts in regards to range, power and brazen melody. Combined with the tight knit chemistry of band mates Sean Parkinson (guitars), Khris Schulz (lead guitars), Jordan Kemp (bass) and of the addition of Ash Pearson (drums) -accent each other on every level. The production, mixing and engineering handled by Rob Shallcross and Greg Reely is spot on, delivering a rich blend that never sounds muddled, cheap or cheesy. Every song breathes fire and brimstone on an epic level of heavy metal-ness. I feel this album is accessible to all metal-heads, across all genres. Overall I cannot say that I have any one particular song that I can call a favorite, as each time I replay this album- I’m liking each song more and more! Never a dull moment, sharpen up and hammer down - buy your copy of ‘Blood Of The Infidels’ today, we are metal legion \m/
West Of Hell will be embarking on tour through Canada to slay the stage and bring their phenomenal metal music across the land April 4th -27th, do not miss this run gang! https://www.westofhell.ca/
